About Roland Henrion, artist
Roland Henrion
graphic artist, photographer, fly fishing enthusiast
A passion for creative work… a passion for fly fishing

I started drawing and fishing as a kid. I studied graphic design, arts and photography at Saint-Lucas in Antwerp (Belgium). After living in the south of France and later in the Seychelles, our family settled back in Namur, Belgium.

I offer my services as free-lance graphic designer and photographer but
since 2017, painting has become more and more important in my work.

I started fly fishing at 17 and soon it became the only fishing method I practised.
In Seychelles, besides doing free-lance design and illustration for the tourism industry, I worked as a fly fishing guide during five years. I have a real passion for the ocean, which is why this theme is so present in my work.

Please note I also do commissioned water colors, paintings and portraits.

The best available materials ensure long-lasting works
Whether it's acrylics on canvas or water colors on paper, I always work with the best paint on the market: Winsor & Newton, expert quality.
The carefully prepared, pure linen canvasses are stretched on sturdy pine stretchers. Linen is much stronger and durable than cotton. All paintings recieve four layers of high quality anti-UV acrylic varnish to guarantee deep and durable colors.

All canvas paintings have finished sides and a stainless steel wire, ready for hanging. They come with an Authenticity Certificate dated and signed by my hand.
For my water colors I use Winsor & Newton pigments on Arches pure cotton, a heavy, acid-free paper which ensures stable colors for years to come.

Framing, packing and shipping
Paintings are delivered without frame, but I can offer this service upon request. Please do not hesitate to contact me to discuss framing.
My works are shipped with insurance worldwide (GLS, USPS, standard post), packed either in custom-made wooden crates or sturdy cardboard envelopes.
